Q. How long do I have to wait?

A. MRI and CAT scans - next business day - Saturday scans available on request.  PET usually next week.

 

Q. How long do the results take?

A. The results go to your doctor within 2 business days.  You may take a CD or film with you from the scan as you leave.

 

Q. Which scan is best for me?

A. That is something you and your doctor must decide.

 

Q. Do I need a form from my doctor?

A. Yes, you need a requisition order from your family doctor or specialist in order to book and have your scan done.

 

Q. Can my chiropractor order my scan?

A. Chiropractors may order scans like MRI.

 

Q. Do I need to send my doctor's requisition to the hospital before my scan?

A. No - just bring the doctor's letter, prescription pad note or other instructions from your doctor to the scan.

 

Q. What is a region?

A. The clinic will discuss this with you.

 

Q. Are scans covered by OHIP

A. You may OHIP funding but is not routinely granted and usually must be requested in advance.

 

Q. How do I locate the hospital?

A. The clinic will give you directions when you confirm your appointment.
